Because I don't want to be "Dead"

I had some time and thought I would blog something (not to mention the pressure of the "you are DEAD to me" comment plus I was living in fear of finding a horsehead in my bed.!.)
*
Well, I started school again. I really like this year, it's a little different with a new principal. She has her own way of doing things and she has made a few change in ways I didn't think needed changes, but she has her focus and I'm a team player. Alls well!!!
I like my new first grade team - There are 5 of us, (6 if you count Mrs North). Three are veteran teachers, myself (on my 2nd year) and one is an Intern, coteaching with the literacy specialist. JeriDell Sandberg, Kara Borup, and Michelle Bryner are the Veterans, Jill Nielsen is the Intern, and Michelle North is the LS. It has been a little a...a...a...tense the last week because we are starting to teach Phonics and Spelling. Well, all three teacher come from different districts who have had different focuses. And the new focus for our school is to unify as a team!?!? Well, to make a long story short we (and I mean me) has had to redo my program 3 times in one week.

On the home front.
It all started during SEP week, Anje had a PTA Free Swim Party and a Primary Water Party but was unable to go because of late working parents (hers & others). So the words "I promise to take you later" came out - hence this weekend! Tonya called me on Thursday, she was tired of hearing her girls ask when, when, when??? - so it was decided that she would bring them Friday night to sleepover then Saturday we would go to Sand Hollow Aquatic Center. We swam for about 3 hours, and (OK Anje and I have been there 3X and 3X it has happened) I told the girls 10 more minutes and low & behold, a friend from school shows up so we end up staying another hour!
Afterwards I called Tonya because the girls were telling me that Shay was allergic to tuna and I had never heard that before. I told her that I would feed the girls and bring them home...Well pizza, nap, showers & two hours later I took the girls home. It was really fun. Taylor spent alot of time trying to dunk her aunt, but to no avail. HEE HEE!! Shay and Anj did the slide and Shaylie really likes the LilyPad! Tay is getting really good at her dives, she wanted to try a flip but had fear with the thought of landing on her back. Having have felt that pain, I don't blame her fear!!

Well I have to get up and lead tommorrow, so I better go to bed.
Oh for those unaware, this summer I was demoted from Relief Society Teacher to Relief Society Chorister. Just kidding - They redid the Young Womens and Young Mens Presidencies, so by default the RS got done over. But I have to say I like my current calling a little better - Much less pressure.

Anyway, love you all

PS Mike and Erin - Sorry to hear about your Grandpa, I know how important they are.

Mom - My house doen't smell, come visit me!
Dad and Pam - Good times had by all!
Jesienouskis - Please don't delete me!
ABCD Strongs - ??????Whats Hap???

HOLY RUSTY KEYBOARD BATMAN!!!

Excuse me a moment as I pick my chair back up from me falling backwards after seeing an actual POST on your site. See that wasn't so painful was it...now just keep em coming...AT LEAST one a week and I am pretty sure Tonya won't banish you to her "do not visit" sites.

Anissa,

Thanks for the update! I really enjoy the detail about the swim party.

When I help people with their businesses I teach them to go through "team building" with the Storming, Norming, Transforming, Performing steps. It sounds like your school team has the Storming down pretty well. You are going to have a blast when you get through the Norming and on to the Transforming / Performing steps. I already know you are going to do great, just need to get the rest of the team to come along.

We had a great time with you all. Thanks for the time with you & Anje. It makes me miss you, but it will hold me over until next time.

Love, Dad & Pam
