Anjeloobienettenoelolivasdefuerte is Amazing!!!
Anje is now an official soccer player. She played her very first game on Monday! The coach had her play two positions - defensive midfielder and goalkeeper. She played for 3/4th of the game - she did really good, she followed my advice and stayed right with the ball (I had explained to her that the midfielder's job was to maintain possession of the ball, taking the ball from defenders and feeding it to the kickers), I swear she ran the length of the field at least 12 times. What a trooper!!
The only area of improvement that I could see was that she was a little to precise when it came to kicking, th ball would be right in front of her and she would tap it with her foot to someone else. Oh well - I think it was fabulous for being her first time (and only a about 20 mins of practice)...

Whoo, listen to you...all Soccer Mom/coach-like. How'd you learn so much about Midfielder stuff? Personally, I couldn't even tell you which one ARE midfielders (the ones in the middle of the field?...Wild Guess.) Congrats to Anje! She'll be great. My girls have games almost every Saturday too.
