Ok - I moved to St George to get away from the snow. But, as i drove around tonight (in 4-wheel drive and looking at Christmas lights) I remembered all the reasons why I love the snow.
1- The smile on Anje's face
2- The heavenly glow of sweetly decorated homes
3- The look of my frozen children trying to get that tattered snowman to look just right
4- Watching the fluttering flakes fall from the sky like twirling little fairies
5- watching the joy on my baby's face as she catches one of them on her tongue and
6- hearing her laugh as one lands on her eyelash

It has been snowing since about 4 o'clock this afternoon - Part of my REALLY wants school to be canceled tomorrow - but, the teacher half think "we are having our class party tomorrow and we still need to make our parent presents, my kids would be so disappointed "So, I guess either way I would be happy!

Anje is having a blast this holiday season. She signed me up to help with the 12 days of Christmas in her classroom - so last Friday, I went in and read the book "Santa's 11 months off"
and taught the kids to make candy cane reindeer. She has had several choir concerts, she was even chosen as one of the special third years that got to sing at a private performance. The whole 5th grade is performing a concert at the care center tomorrow - she is very excited.
Today, her class performed a reader's theater for all the parents - she played the little girl moose in the book "mooseltoe". She did so good!!

Last night she celebrated her 11th birthday party at "Jumpin Jacks" - She said she had a blast.
This was her first official boy-girl party and I was very impressed with her. She is getting so mature. She invited some very well behaved kids: Alissa, Ariel, Megan, Shaylie, Brecken, Dallin and Taylor. But, the party was alot bigger and crazier than that because (between Donna and myself) we have 3 children with birthdays in the month of December. So, we decided to throw a THREE KID PARTY - and each kid invited 5-7 guests : Big Party = Big Fun!!!

Well, i hope all of you are having a very merry, happy holiday season
